You can rent sleighs directly from our house!!
And off you go…
Sledging in Maranza & its surroundings:
- you can start your sledging adventure at the western end of Maranza – about a 2 minute drive from us first you hike uphill on a forest path in the idyllic winter forest to Moser Hut for about 1 hour Afterwards you can sleigh all the way down!
- another option would be to take the Gitschberg cable cars up to the middle station and to sleigh down to the valley
- if there should not be enough natural snow once, you can still enjoy the artificial ice toboggan run in Maranza, where international teams train their start it is 300 m long and you can also time yourself here, guest races take place on a weekly basis—everyone is welcome to participate the toboggan run is not dangerous and also suitable for beginners and children The special sleighs can be rented onsite.
- At the end of the Valles Valley at 1400 m you'll find a narrow, 3 km long serpentine road leading up to Fane Pasture. After ascending for one hour you reach the enchanting Fane Pasture (1739 m) with a small chapel and traditional alpine huts surrounded by a wild-romantic mountain scenery. Two of these huts are open throughout the year. Sledging downhill for 3 km with almost 300 metres of difference in altitude sets the pulse of tobogganists.
