Skiing Fun for Adults and Children
Just 200 meters away from our hotel, there‘s the Ski Kindergarten with Magic Carpet and Practice Aerial Lift – the best way for kids and beginners to learn how to ski.
For more-advanced ski enthusiasts, there‘s the aerial lifts approx. 1 kilometer away (2 minutes by car). The Gitschberg features ski slopes with good visibility. The terrain offers both advanced skiers and beginners plenty of opportunity for skiing fun. With the exception of one black slope restricted for advanced skiers, the Gitschberg
ski area thus proves itself to be a thoroughly family-friendly resort region!
The Gitschberg features modern snow cannons and thus 22 km of slopes with guaranteed snow from early-December till Easter. Both skiers and snowboarders will thus find perfect conditions.
Snowshoe hikes, tobogganing fun, easy strolls, and romantic sleigh rides in horse-drawn sleds all offer a variegated mixture of activities besides skiing, so even non-skiers are sure to have a load of fun.

Children under 8 years of age: € 9 per day (day card!) or they will receive a FREE SKI PASS if one parent simultaneously purchases a ski pass for the same period of time.
Pick-Up Service for Children:
Wir holen Ihre Kinder nach dem Skikurs ab und bringen sie zurück zum Alpenhof.
We‘ll be happy to pick up your children after the ski class and take them back to the Alpenhof. There, they can enjoy lunch* with the others. Afterwards, our children supervisor will take care of the kids until 5:30 p.m.. Thus, parents can enjoy skiing or hiking for the day and stop in at a rustic ski hut for refreshments without having to worry about the youngsters.

Every Saturday, a
ski instructor comes
to the hotel from the Gitschberg Ski and Snowboard School and explains the classes offered. Additionally, our hotel can also lend you the complete ski equipment your children will need (except on Christmas / New Year's Day and during the Mardi Gras)!
